Liposuction
Although there are many liposuction techniques, they all involve the removal of unwanted fat deposits through suction using a “tube” known as a cannula. This fat can be discarded or purified and prepared for injection into other areas of the body that require augmentation, such as the face, breasts, or buttocks.
We perform traditional liposuction or ultrasound-assisted liposuction, which allows us to "liquefy" the fat, making extraction easier. This results in a more homogeneous and even outcome without irregularities and helps accelerate recovery. The ultrasound stimulation on the skin allows it to retract more effectively, achieving better texture and appearance. The use of ultrasound is optional; however, when performing secondary liposuctions, it becomes essential to achieve better results and improve any irregularities that may have been left by previous procedures.
Eliminate those stubborn fat deposits that won't budge even with exercise.
If you decide to undergo liposuction, it's very important to know that it is not a weight-loss surgery. Ideally, you should reach the surgery with a weight close to your ideal, as this will help make your surgery safer and ensure that the results are more satisfactory and long-lasting.

Have Questions?
Here, you can find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. However, if you still have any concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.
How long does the surgery last?
It depends on the areas being treated and how much fat needs to be removed; it can last from 1 to 4 hours. The procedure is performed under outpatient general anesthesia, meaning it usually does not require hospitalization. If ultrasound is used, the surgery may take longer.
Will I have scars?
Every surgery leaves scars, but the scars from liposuction are small, just large enough for the cannula to fit. The number of incisions depends on the areas being treated, but we take special care to locate them discreetly in places that are easy to hide and in natural folds.
Will I need to have massages after surgery?
To achieve better results and a faster recovery, we recommend postoperative massages. These will facilitate lymphatic drainage, reduce swelling, eliminate residual anesthesia and fluids used during surgery, and improve tissue healing, promoting a quicker recovery.
How long should I wear the compression garment?
You will wear the garment as soon as you leave surgery and for 3 months. The compression helps reduce inflammation, decreases fluid retention, limits the mobility of the operated tissues to facilitate recovery, and alleviates postoperative discomfort.
Can I exercise after the surgery?
My recommendation is to start walking from the first day after surgery. This helps prevent the formation of clots in the legs and other potential complications. You can return to normal exercise within 4 to 6 weeks, but this should be gradual, starting with less time and lower intensity than usual.
When can I return to work?
After liposuction, you can return to work in about 8 days. If your job is an office job, the return will be even easier. If it’s a combined procedure with abdominoplasty, the recovery time will be 2 weeks.
What happens if I gain weight after liposuction? How long should I wait to undergo another liposuction?
Ideally, you should wait a year before having another procedure.
The first step to loving the body you inhabit starts now.
