Breast Surgery
Breast Explantation
This is the surgery through which we remove breast implants. There are many reasons to decide to remove implants, whether because they have reached the end of their lifespan, due to the presence of capsular contracture or hardening of the implant, or because of symptoms compatible with ASIA syndrome.
This surgery can be as simple as removing the implants through the same incision used in the initial procedure, or it may require reconstruction using the patient's own tissue and a lift or mastopexy of the nipple-areola complex. Additionally, fat grafting can be performed during the same procedure to slightly increase the breast volume.
Achieve aesthetic and harmonious results.
The choice of surgery type depends on the patient's desires and expectations.

Have Questions?
Here, you can find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. However, if you still have any concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.
Do all patients need anchor or inverted T scars?
No, it depends on the size of the breast, the implant, the position of the areola, and most importantly, the specific needs of each patient.
What is the recovery like for this surgery?
This surgery generally has an easy recovery. It is recommended to avoid strenuous arm movements and lifting heavy objects, to walk frequently to prevent complications, and to allow a quick return to daily activities.
Do all patients with implants develop ASIA Syndrome?
No, ASIA syndrome occurs in a very small percentage of patients with breast implants. There is a genetic predisposition required to develop it, so it’s not just a matter of having implants—other factors are also involved. Only a minority will develop symptoms that make implant removal necessary.
