Fat Transfer

Fat is the best filler material we currently have, offering many advantages over traditional fillers like hyaluronic acid and the dangerous biopolymers.

When we inject a patient’s own fat, we do not use any foreign materials or implants that could be rejected or cause any type of reaction or allergy. This is in contrast to materials like biopolymers, which are currently banned and are not recommended under any circumstances due to the dangers they pose to patients.

Fill areas such as the buttocks and breasts, improve the appearance of certain areas of the face affected by the passage of time, and even correct birth defects or post-traumatic deformities.

Unlike hyaluronic acid, fat is not completely reabsorbed and can potentially last a lifetime.

Have Questions?

Here, you can find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. However, if you still have any concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.

The initial results are visible almost immediately, but due to swelling and partial reabsorption of the fat, the final results can be seen after 3 to 6 months, once the transferred tissue has stabilized.

It depends on the areas being treated and how much fat needs to be removed; it can last from 1 to 4 hours. The procedure is performed under outpatient general anesthesia, meaning it usually does not require hospitalization. If ultrasound is used, the surgery may take longer.

Every surgery leaves scars, but the scars from liposuction are small, just large enough for the cannula to fit. The number of incisions depends on the areas being treated, but we take special care to locate them discreetly in places that are easy to hide and in natural folds.

To achieve better results and a faster recovery, we recommend postoperative massages. These will facilitate lymphatic drainage, reduce swelling, eliminate residual anesthesia and fluids used during surgery, and improve tissue healing, promoting a quicker recovery.

You will wear the garment as soon as you leave surgery and for 3 months. The compression helps reduce inflammation, decreases fluid retention, limits the mobility of the operated tissues to facilitate recovery, and alleviates postoperative discomfort.

My recommendation is to start walking from the first day after surgery. This helps prevent the formation of clots in the legs and other potential complications. You can return to normal exercise within 4 to 6 weeks, but this should be gradual, starting with less time and lower intensity than usual.

After liposuction, you can return to work in about 8 days. If your job is an office job, the return will be even easier. If it’s a combined procedure with abdominoplasty, the recovery time will be 2 weeks.

The first step to loving the body you inhabit starts now.
